Upcoming Contests - Things to Do ARRL 222 and Up Distance Contest The ARRL 222 and Up Distance Contest is this weekend, starting at 1800 UTC on Saturday, August 6, and concluding at 1759 UTC on Sunday, August 7. Stations may be contacted on any authorized mode on the 222 MHz through 241 GHz amateur bands. Full rules and contest details are available at www.arrl.org/222-mhz-and-up-distance-contest. Ten Ten International Summer QSO Party The Ten Ten (10-10) International QSO Party is this weekend, beginning at 0001 UTC on Saturday, August 6, and concluding at 2359 UTC on Sunday, August 7. The 10-10 QSO parties are a great way for anyone interested in operating on 10 meters to get on the air. All amateurs with operating privileges on the 10-meter band may participate. North American Meteor Scatter Sprint For those of you interested in making contacts via meteor scatter propagation using MSK144 and/or FSK441, Francis Inman, KV5W, has put together the North American Meteor Scatter Sprint. The event is scheduled during the peak of the upcoming Perseids meteor shower. The event starts at 1500 UTC on August 12 and concludes at 1459 UTC on August 14. Participants may operate for up to 36 hours of the 48-hour contest period, with off times being at least 60 minutes, during which no contact is logged. Bulletins FISTS Club CW Sprints to Return in August The FISTS Club has announced that their CW sprints will return on Saturday, August 13 from 1600 until 1800 UTC, and Sunday, August 21, from 2100 until 2300 UTC. August 16 August 17 Results and Records 2021 Oceania DX Contest Results Released The results for the 2021 Oceania DX (OCDX) Contest have been announced at www.oceaniadxcontest.com/current-years-results. The organizers stated that the turnout for the 2021 event was "fantastic," with a total of 1,908 logs being submitted for the SSB and CW weekends. Additionally, the new YL awards introduced last year were deemed a success and will continue this year, along with awards for youth operators. The 2022 contest will run during the first two weekends of October.
