Make a repeater?

I live in an area with one repeater nearby, about 4 or 5 miles away. To the OTHER direction there is a "triangle" of smaller towns, with no repeaters and are relatively distant from the one nearby. Here is the point of this geography lesson: How would I go about making, purchasing, or otherwise obtaining a repeater that I can put in some of these towns? I don't know much about repeaters, and after a few Google searches all I found out was how to use them. Also, is there any way I can get some that are linked to make one emergency network to put in the main towns? Any help, links and knowledge would be greatly appreciated! |

You should probably contact the Repeater Frequency Coordinator in your area to see if there are any repeater pairs that are available. There may also be other requirements. You local frequency coordinator can fill you in. Bill |

Ok, I will admit, I don't know a whole lot about this stuff. How do I find the local Repeater Frequency Coordinator? |
