The main 70-cm band frequencies are: Voice: 435.725 MHz (uplink), and 437.925 MHz (downlink). Packet: 435.775 (uplink) and 437.975 MHz (downlink). 2-meter frequencies are: Voice: 145.200 MHz (uplink) and 145.800 MHz (downlink). Packet: 145.550 MHz (uplink) 145.550 MHz (downlink). ARRL Note: This voice uplink frequency is not available for use in areas where repeater outputs operate on the same or adjacent frequencies, and will be subject to interference from repeaters when Mir is in range of North America. There has been no 9600 baud packet radio activity yet, since the high speed TNC will not arrive at the Mir space station until later, SpaceNews said. Most activity from DP0MIR has been in talking with schools, mainly in Germany. The three men aboard Mir were scheduled to return to earth in mid-January, but that reportedly has been extended into mid-February. NNNN /EX
