SMARTS has transistioned from online meetings only, to a hybrid meeting for our monthly meetings.  The in-person meeting is held in the Rose Room of the Chaska American Legion; the online invitation is via email.  Contact Bill, WF0B, at wgfranzen@gmail.com to be added to the list. 

Members meet informally the fourth Saturday of the month at 8:00 AM for breakfast.  Breakfast location rotates around the communities served - see the website for current details. 

The club is active in Parks On The Air (POTA), Winter Field Day (WFD) and Field Day (FD) Activities, with an activity scheduled once a month.  Upper Sioux Agency State Park (K-2527) was activated in July, with the activation team sleeping in a teepee.  As of February 16, 2024, all park property will be turned over to the Upper Sioux Community - meaning K-2527 will no longer be able to be activated. 

The club completed its second year of WFD activites - 2023 was -16F in 2 ft of snow, 2024 was in the upper 30s with mud! 

Many members are active builders - including QRP radios, antennas, and other accessories - and provide mentoring for new builders.
